Pink granite below the window when you reserve a Llano River inn stay
from$460for two sharing, 2 nights, $230 per person
This Llano River inn stay puts two people in a king room that looks out over the water, for two nights in the old courthouse town of Llano, northwest of Austin. Our office in Austin picks the dates with you, asks the inn whether the room is open on those nights, and sends one written quote with every figure laid out.
When you answer yes, we ask the inn to hold the room under your name. The inn then sends its own confirmation, takes your payment at its own desk and on its own schedule, and pays our office a commission once you have gone home.

A king room over the granite at a small Llano inn
The room is a king room at a small inn, and its window faces the river. Two people share it for both nights. The inn runs its own rooms, keeps its own front desk and registers you there when you arrive.
Outside, the bank drops toward rounded slabs of pink granite and the channel of the Llano. The written quote names the exact room the inn has open for your dates, so you know what you are getting before anything is held.

- Meals, groceries and anything bought on the river
- Tubes, boats and park entry from local outfitters or parks
from$460for two sharing, 2 nights, $230 per person
For Llano we take the inn's published rate of $229 a night for a room two can share, multiply by two nights, and round up to $460 for two, which comes to from $230 per person. The inn publishes no mandatory fees beyond that rate. State and local hotel tax are added by the inn at checkout and shown apart in the quote, and the figure for your real dates is confirmed in writing. The planning behind it and the quote are free to you.
Rain decides how full the Llano runs
The Llano is fed mostly by rain, and the nearest USGS gauge, 08151500, shows it plainly. Across 1996 to 2025, the median of the monthly mean flow was 232.3 cubic feet per second in May and 74.2 in August, so by late summer the river carries about 32% of its spring water.
That puts Llano in the rain-fed group of our catalog, where a wet spring or a good fall storm makes the biggest difference. In a strong May the river spreads wide across the granite; in a dry August it can thin to channels and pools between the boulders.
March to May, and an October or November return
We plan this inn for March through May, and again for October and November, when the weather is mild and the river has its best chance of carrying water from recent rain.
Little rain has fallen this fall, and several rivers we watch sit well below their usual October levels. Nobody can promise how much water the Llano will have on your dates. The written quote tells you how the river is running that week.
Llano inn rate with its tax line and terms
The quote names the inn, the room, your arrival and departure nights, and the price for those exact dates. Texas hotel tax and the local hotel tax sit on their own line, and the inn's rules for canceling appear in full so you can read them first.
We set the figure here from the rate the inn published on 30 October 2026. Inns change rates by season, weekend and holiday, so the number for your dates can move up or down, and only the written quote settles it.
75 miles up into the granite uplands
Llano lies about 75 miles from our office, roughly 1 hour 42 minutes on the usual route if the roads are clear. The road leaves the city, climbs into ranch country and crosses the granite uplands; arriving before dark makes it easier.
Spring or fall in Llano: name your nights
Give us a month, how many nights and what you hope to do by the water, and we will ask the inn and write back with the room, the dates, the full figure and the inn's terms. The form takes requests at any hour, a request carries no charge and holds no room, and you can read how the seven steps unfold on our page about each step after you write.
A request that arrives after 1 p.m., or on a Sunday or Monday, gets its written answer by 4 p.m. on the next phone day.
