This is the best place in Maine in my opinion to spend a week''s vacation. The fishing is great, the town of Lincoln is small and friendly, nice public beaches and most of all the new owners are awesome. The hospitality they showed us last year was above superb.

My wife and I visited "Dads" each year for several years before our kid were born and once again since then. We loved the affordable rates and excellent fishing along with a truly pristine location loaded with eagles and other wildlife. We were deeply saddened to find that dad had passed on our last visit and saw that his wife was stuggling to keep the place up. We wish the new owners much success at this location and may book a long weekend again soon as the kids are almost old enough to spend that much time in the boat (and without a tv). As mentioned, the fishing was fantastic but if you bring your own boat, beware - the Penobscott rock gardens have taken their share of props and lower units. Take advantage of being "ferried" a few miles up river so you can drift through less pressured water and experience more of the river. Bring all your favorite tackle because there is not much to choose from north of Bangor except a Walmart in Lincoln. I''ve also considered trying the r

Hello i visited the camps twice back 2001 and 2002 and it was absolutely wonderful. The fishing was the best i have ever experienced, our group of 4 averaged 50 to 75 fish per day each!!! But equally impressive was the family atmosphere and home cooking that DAD"S CAMPS provided. They were wonderful people and i was truely sadened when DAD passed away. I since have moved to Tennessee from Massachusetts, but i hope to make it up there in the future for a spring smallmouth trip. I am very glad to see the rates have not changed much and i hope the new ownership is as friendly as the past owners. I hope all goes well with y''all.
